Mister T: The Animated Series is a sequel to the Ruby-Spears cartoon, Mister T, which has been part of the Hanna-Barbera library since 1991. It is part of the Hanna-Barbera Animated Universe.
About[]
Like the original cartoon, this cartoon stars Mr. T as a coach to a gymnastics team (with a specific emphasis on members Jeff, Woody, Robin, and Kim), traveling the world while becoming involved in and solving various mysteries. Also, like the original, there is both an introduction and closing sequence, although because of Mr. T's age, these sequences are animated instead of live-action while in some episodes, the sequences are done by the other main characters. Another difference is the use of guest stars in some episodes. Also, each mystery is related to a moment in TV history. Many episodes have a "Viewer discretion is advised." warning due to content not suited for younger children.

Instead of using the theme song from the original series, Cartoon Network decided to use the song Mr. T by Buckner and Garcia.
Controversy[]
The show generated controversy for some mysteries revolving around murder, attempted murder, prostitution, attacks, and other things that would not usually be suitable for a children's show. Cartoon Network refused to ban any of the episodes involved which ended up being praised for teaching children important lessons about these things.
